As the world still continues to reel from the shocking news that the pop deva and singing sensation Whitney Huston is dead authorities are still trying to piece together the final moments of her life.
Her life was characterised by a voice that captivated millions, a troubled marriage that recently ended in divorce and drug abuse which she fought for many years trying to over come.
In the mean time her family is left to mourn their immense lost. Her 18 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina had to be rushed to hospital to receive treatment for stress related anxiety. She has since been released.
Just today her family has released a statement regarding the pop deva’s shocking death through her publicist. “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Whitney.” “This is an unimaginable tragedy and we will miss her terribly. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support from her fans and friends.”
The lifeless body of Whitney Huston was found inside the bathroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel by paramedics on Saturday. According to sources her aides discovered her body in the bathtub face down under water. They performed CPR however they wee unable to revive her after which hotel security was summoned.
After many attempts officials were still unable to revive the pop deva and she was pronounced dead by the authorities at 3.55 pm. Based on reports from Lt. Mark Rosen of the Beverly Hills police, there were “no obvious signs of foul play and no obvious signs of a cause of death.” Huston’s body was taken away by the Los Angles Coroners office at 1.50 am P.T
Her autopsy is expected to be completed today however the results will be held until completion of her toxicology assessment.
When asked? The coroner’s office gave no definitive answer as to the cause of death of the signing legend many rumours have been circulating that she had drowned. When the office was asked about drugs in the room an official of the Los Angles County Coroner’s office said they would not comment on it. They would also not confirm as to whether Huston was found naked or not.
Only hours before her death Cissy Huston Whitney’s mother and Dionne Warwick had spoken with her and they said there was no indication that she was experiencing problems or anything was wrong.
