It was in the year 1985 when we first hear about the Grim Sleeper in Los Angeles California. For almost 24 years, it is believed that the Grim Sleeper has killed eleven people namely Henrietta Wright, Debra Jackson, Barbara Ware, Janecia Peters, Mary Lowe, Alicia Alexander, Princess Berthomieux, Thomas Steele, Bernita Sparks, Lachrica Jefferson and Valerie McCorvey. The Los Angeles Police are clueless in the whereabouts and identity of this Serial Killer. The Grim Sleeper was featured in the TV Show Amerca’s Most Wanted last November 2008.
It was only last May 2007 when Investigators have linked the DNA taken from the body of Janecia Peters, the 11th victim of the Grim Sleeper to the other 10 murdered victims since 1985. With this astonishing discovery, Los Angeles Police have formed a team called the 800 Task Force consisting of seven Los Angeles homicide detectives that will lead the investigation.
A reward amounting to half a million dollars is waiting for anyone who can tell the whereabouts of this criminal.
“I am hoping a couple people call us that will lead us to something” this are the words of Detective Dennis Kilcoyne, the head of the 800 Task force. So far, the police are focused in sniffing every detail they can found from the murder of Barbara Ware, also a victim of The Grim Sleeper. One man said that while he was walking he saw a van (Photo Shown Below) dumping the body of a murdered woman, Identified as Barbara Ware. He immediately called the police and gave the plate number. The police were able to track the van’s information and found out that it was registered to an address at a church.
For now, all we can do is sit tight and wait for the outcome of the police investigations.
