‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ and Rooney Mara fascinated the audience. This 26-year old actress who is playing Lisabeth Salander, girl styled in a gothic fashion and psychologically damaged can’t go out of your head after you watch the movie.
This heroine is well known to the reading audience from novels of Stieg Larson, there is a Swedish version of the story put to the big screen, but this, American adaptation presents her in a very new way. This aggressive, priced, tattooed, not socialized but also full of contradictions.
“She has this ability to be incredibly violent, and she has a lot of anger and rage, but it’s something she works incredibly hard to keep at bay,” says Rooney Mara.
This transformation of Mara look is amazing, but also made the young actress vary how the people will look at her in the future. She was aware of the fact that people make judgments by the way you look and this kind of role could put her in the box in eyes of the common viewers.
“The hair was stuck to my head, the eyebrows remained bleached and the piercing I got that were real obviously stayed in. I expected people to treat me much differently but it really didn’t happen.”
Rooney Mara sad that this movie about the rape victim who is trying to revange was an acting challenge that she enjoyed. Even the make over part.
Critics sad that this young actress did her job amazingly great and this role and performance could be an Oscar winning material. Rooney Mara is a very talented and beautiful actor who can play many different characters, looking as a dark gothic girl or glamorous like movie divas for the Hollywood Golden Age.
