The source of the disease was known to be caused by a tourist from Mexico who has smallpox and stayed in a hotel with more than three thousand people from different states both guests and workers.
To prevent the smallpox from going to be an outbreak, health officers, workers and professionals were force to give smallpox vaccine to everyone in the hotel. They even made an extra effort of giving smallpox vaccine to over six million residents of New York City just to make sure that smallpox will not spread across the United States of America. This incident have infected 12 persons where 2 of them died.
