Sandra Bullock Child Custody Battle – Actress Sandra Bullock is in the middle of a custody battle against former adult film star Janine Lindemulder over her husband Jesse James’ 5-year-old daughter Sunny James, who has been living with the couple for more than six months since her mother went to jail for tax evasion.
Janine was recently released from prison after spending six months behind bars. Jesse and Janine have a 5-year-old girl named Sunny together, who currently lives with Jesse and Sandra.
When Lindemulder was sentenced on reported tax evasion charges in 2008, Sandra Bullock Custody Battle began and wrote in a letter to the judge, asking a stricter punishment and to prove that she’s a more fit parent than her husbands ex.
“I am aware that Janine has claimed many times that my desire to have Sunny was because I could not have children of my own,” Bullock writes in the letter obtained by ABC News. “As difficult as that is for me to hear, and write, it couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
“I myself have stopped working like I used to in order to be here with Jesse and the kids because we are on constant ‘high alert,’ ” she writes. “Never knowing what condition Janine will be in, and even more concerning, the condition Sunny will be in. While in Janine’s care, sometimes Sunny is left alone during the day, while her mother is asleep from drug use.”
“I know the term ’stepmother’ carries many connotations, one of them being a ‘glorified babysitter,’ ” Sandra writes. “My commitment and responsibility to Sunny, and Chandler and Jesse Jr., goes beyond that.
“We are FULLY prepared to accept the responsibility and make Sunny’s transition as healthy as possible if full custody should be awarded to Jesse…We are here, and know we may have a tough road ahead of us but we have built a strong and stable foundation, which makes us ready for anything.”
Meanwhile, Jesse James’ ex-wife, Janine Lindemulder, is taking to the airwaves to publicly blast him and Sandra Bullock over the custody battle.
Janine went to ‘Good Morning America’ in hopes to get some publicity and requesting Sandra to sit down and talk to her. She said, “It hurts tremendously. The accusations, especially from Sandra…her even more so, because we’ve never sat down and talked. That’s the one thing that I wish more than anything for a remedy for what’s happening here, is just communication.”
What do you think of Sandra Bullock Child Custody Battle? For me, it’s not because you know how to make a child that makes you a parent. The child should be raised by those who care and are around to support and love her. It is also her business, because she is married to Sunny’s father. I think, every person who entered into a marriage where there is a child involved, should considered it as their business and their full responsibility. It’s always a “package deal.”
