Rihanna is now setting the record straight, telling radio station Hot 97 that she had originally sent the pictures to an ex-boyfriend.

She said that after the pictures were made public, she just felt like her whole privacy was taken away, “humiliating” and “embarrassing” her, knowing her mother would see them.

Still, Rihanna defended taking the photos, saying if a girl doesn’t send her boyfriend naked pictures, then she feels bad for him.

“I just felt like my whole privacy was taken before that and then, when that came out, I thought, ‘oh great, so now there’s nothing they don’t know about me and my private life.”

“If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him… It was humiliating and it was embarrassing – especially my mom having to see that. It was two days before Mother’s Day, so I was nervous… I sent her flowers first before I called and then she texted me – when the world is against me she’s always there supporting. If it’s wrong, she will still let me know but she wouldn’t come down on me like, ‘oh my God, what were you thinking?’”

Although some of the pictures showed Rihanna’s face, while the uncensored photos of the female body did not show her face, her record label Def Jam demanded the Rihanna Uncensored Photos be removed from websites, calling them violation of the ‘artist rights.’

As for Rihanna, she now feels comfortable that uncensored photos of her were leaked on the internet because she doesn’t regret sending them to an ”ex-boyfriend” in the first place.
