Obama Nobel Peace Prize Speech – President Barack Obama accepted the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway on Thursday, December 10. According to him, he was “surprised and deeply humbled” by the decision of the Norwegian Nobel Committee to award him the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. He said the award was “an affirmation of American leadership,” he viewed the decision less as a recognition of his own accomplishments and more as “a call to action.”

After reading the last 2 paragraphs of President Barack Obama Nobel Peace Prize Speech, it brought tears to my eyes. Great speech. It was reasonable, rational, no vulgarity. His presidency is a monumental step forward for their country, it is a sure sign of progress and hope that they will overcome their nation’s tragic and shameful history. I’m Wishing for a better President here in our country for the year 2010.

Americans should be proud…look at the Man your country has produced..if your not proud of this man… just stop criticizing him.

President Barack Obama Nobel Peace Prize Speech : What can you say about it?

Your Majesties, Your Royal Highnesses, Distinguished Members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, citizens of America, and citizens of the world:

I receive this honor with deep gratitude and great humility. It is an award that speaks to our highest aspirations — that for all the cruelty and hardship of our world, we are not mere prisoners of fate. Our actions matter, and can bend history in the direction of justice.

Many were surprised about the committee’s decision in choosing Obama as the Nobel Peace Prize Winner. But Obama deserved this 100% and the Americans should back him up on his choices, You elected him because he gave people hope! He works every day to make the world a better place for his two girls and for children everywhere. If you follow the things he’s done for the US and for the world, you’ll see that he hasn’t been doing ‘nothing’ as so many say.

And for those of you who think he don’t deserve the award because he’s only been sitting for three months, remember that he was standing up for people’s rights and promoting peace before his election to presidency.

Even if President Obama fails miserably in his efforts, I’d still say that he is one of the best presidents that America has ever seen and will ever see because he’s doing all he can to make the world a better place and ensure that the next generation can also have a hope for a better future.

Congratulations Mr. Obama, keep up the good work!
