June 30, 2010 was declared a Special Nonworking Holiday under Proclamation No. 2085, for the inauguration of Benigno “Noynoy” S. Aquino III as the 15th President of the Philippines. The theme of the inauguration is ‘Tagumpay ng Taumbayan, Panata sa Pagbabago,’ that will take place at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
The oath of office for President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” S. Aquino III and Vice President-elect Jejomar Binay will be administered by Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines Conchita Carpio-Morales, who officially accepted Aquino’s request to swear him into office, and will hold the distinction of being the Philippines’ first woman justice of the high court to swear in a President.
Meanwhile, President of the Senate of the Philippines Juan Ponce Enrile will read the proclamation of the election results. Vice President-elect Jejomar Binay will take the oath of office followed by President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” S. Aquino III at exactly 12:00 PM. Noynoy Aquino will then deliver his inaugural address as the President of the Philippines.
