One Liter of Tears

one-liter-of-tears

one liter of tears- Another Television series that I tearfully watched , especially its’ last episode last night. One Liter of Tears is based on a True Story of a young brave girl who keeps a diary of all her hardship just to survived her disease.

One Liter of Tears starred by the lead actress Erika Sawajiri played as Aya Kito, a young girl who is fighting for her life, diagnosed when she was 15 years old with a disease called spinocerebellar Degeneration. The disease causes the person to lose control over their body, but because the person can retain all mental ability the disease acts as a prison. Aya discovers this disastrous news as the disease has already developed, and there is no cure. The diary’s purpose was for Aya to chronicle impressions she had about how the disease was affecting her daily life. As the disease progressed, the diary became Aya’s outlet for describing the intense personal struggles she underwent in coping, adapting, and ultimately trying to survive her disease.

One Liter of Tears is a dramatic tragedy diary written by Aya Kito and published shortly before her death. The diary is a true story based on her own life– about a girl coping with her teenage life along with a degenerative disease. She keeps a diary of not only what she does but how she feels and the hardships she must undergo. As she notes in one entry, “I write because writing is evidence that I am still alive.” Aya live on with her life until her death at the age of 25.

While in the television series, the role of Aya really touches me. She was always behaving and acting bravely in face of difficulties, despite an incurable disease attacked her, till the end of her life. If I were her , I would probably surrender or abandon myself. Her bravery was incredible, in the eyes of common people. Life is really precious– invaluable, which we always regret about when we lose it. So, from now on, cherish every minute and every second, and do good things with a great deal, and life appears more beautiful :-) View things and our world positively. Always live our lives to the fullest until our time is up.
