Matt Borner while receiving his humanitarian award over the weekend in his acceptance speech had managed to include in the fact of his sexual orientation. This little stint did not pass unnoticed by the public.

A report in people’s magazine state that the 34 year old received the New Generation Arts and activism Awards at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards ceremony based on his contribution in the area of combatting HIV/AIDS. A glimpse on one of the programs stated that the actor used his celebrity to benefit causes that dealt with HIV/AIDS.
The actor is set to portray a gay activist in an upcoming film The Normal Heart where he will raise awareness about HIV/AIDS during the early 80s. During his speech he said his eyes were opened with regards to the early days of HIV/AIDS based on research that he conducted.
As he accepted his award he gave special thanks to his beautiful family that includes, Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. He also added “Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”
In the past Bomer has been seen in photographs with kids. People’s magazine has gone as far as identifying Simon who was mentioned as his partner, publicists Simon Halls. Many have come out congratulating the actor for actually acknowledging his sexuality which have created much stir in the way of gossip.
GLAAD has come out thanking Bomer for his continued support and contribution to LGBT media and wishes the best for he as well as his family.
Anne Rice the author had also sent her congratulations as well as TV Guides Damian Holbrook, in a twitter post he wrote “I feel like there should have been some sort of Twitter celebration for Matt Bomer’s coming out,”
All this focus on his sexuality has not impacted Bomber much.
He has revealed in a interview that all this chatter does not bother him in his own words he is “completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life.”
