Michael Jackson’s Final Performances will be at least a series of 10 concerts starting July 08, 2009.
Tickets go on sale this Friday March 13,2009 at 7 am. Ticket prices are £75 / £65 / £50 + booking fees. For the hundreds of screaming fans gathered to the O2 Arena, Michael Jackson the King of Pop remains a king.
He announced these words to the fans saying, ” These will be my final show performances London, this will be it, when I say this is it, it will really be it. This is the final curtain call.”
He was on stage for less than four minutes and spoke a few words. He turned in circles a few times, repeated words “I LOVE YOU ALL”, chuckled, and threw an ending air punch. Jackson being there was enough for his hundreds loyal fans ranging from a young to middle-aged adult males, some wearing only one white glove symbolizing Jacko’s costumes.
10 years ago since Michael Jackson last launched a major tour. All his media coverage was all about his personal difficulties– financial, mental and physical conditions– accusations of being a pedophile which placed him in court.Throughout the announcement in London at the O2, He looked happy for a performer who has disappeared for over 10 years from the stage.
People expect Jackson will be playing many of his past hits and there are rumors of new songs as well. Jackson said “I am coming to London to play the songs my fans want to hear.”
25 years ago, originally released in the US last November 30, 1982 by Epic Records “Thriller” was one of the world’s top-selling albums of all time. Thriller of Michael Jackson is still a widely searched for on the internet with an estimated 30,000 searches each month in the USA alone. And He was named by the Guinness World Record as the “Most Successful Entertainer of All-Time”. And two times introduced into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
After Michael Jackson was labeled in the past headlines as Jacko to Wacko Jacko, everyone will be waiting to see if he can fill a stadium the size of the O2 Arena that holds a capacity of 20,000 when his concerts open up in July.

“Rock with You” was released as the second single and scored as one of the first Billboard number-one singles in the 1980s, as well as one of the last big hit songs of the disco era. The release date of the song came just in time, since in 1980, disco seemed to reach its peak and its popularity slowly waned as it was swept aside by punk rock and new wave. The song reached number one on both the pop and R&B singles chart and became one of Jackson’s most-loved songs.

“Beat It” is a hit single from Michael Jackson’s album Thriller. It was the third single from the album. “Beat It” won Jackson two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. “Beat It” is also notable for its guitar solo, a guest performance by Eddie Van Halen. In the 30th anniversary show live on television, Slash, lead guitarist of Velvet Revolver and the former lead guitarist from Guns N’ Roses, played with Michael during the performance of the song. “Billie Jean” was a worldwide commercial and critical success; becoming one of the best-selling singles of 1983, and dominating the the US and UK charts simultaneously. Considered one of the most revolutionary songs in history, “Billie Jean” was certified platinum in 1989.

Recorded during McCartney’s “War sessions”, the single became Jackson’s seventh top ten hit in a year, upon it’s release in October, 1983. “Say Say Say” was a number one hit in the US, peaking at number two in the UK. Number one in Canada, Finland, Italy, Norway and Sweden, the single peaked within the top ten of Austria and New Zealand.
7. Wanna Be Startin’ Something
“Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” is a 1983 single released from Michael Jackson’s multi-platinum selling 1982 album Thriller. It was the first track on the album, and the fourth song released as a single. The song has recently been re-recorded by Jackson and R&B artist Akon for the Thriller – 25th Anniversary Edition album called Thriller 25.
8. “Thriller”
The album was released on November 30, 1982 by Epic Records as the follow-up to Jackson’s critically and commercially successful 1979 album Off the Wall. Thriller explores funk, disco, soul, soft rock, R&B and pop. However, Thriller’s lyrics deal with generally darker themes, including paranoia, and the supernatural.
9. Man in the Mirror
When released as a single in the spring of 1988. It is one of Jackson’s most critically acclaimed songs and it was nominated for Record of the Year at the Grammy Awards. The song garnered massive airplay and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks.
10. Smooth Criminal
The seventh single from Michael Jackson’s Bad album (1987). The song contains a fast-paced beat intertwined with Jackson’s lyrics about a woman named Annie, who has been attacked in her apartment by a hitman. It was released as a single in early 1988 and peaked at 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. It has since become one of Jackson’s most popular songs.
