Dershowitz warns Democrats to drop Media Matters

Professor Alan Dershowitz of Harvard University has sounded a warning to the Democrats that they stand to lose the 2012 presidential election if they back Media Matters for America.

Dershowitz during a press conference earlier on this month has thrown his support behind Israel as he stood in defence for the country against a group at the University of Pennsylvania which urged the University to divest boycott and sanction the Jewish state because on the long standing issue it has with Palestine over security and borders.

One of the main speakers at the conference was Max Blumenthal son of the powerful Washington attorney Sidney Blumenthal who also back Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Max Blumenthal who is a graduate of UPenn was once employed to Media Matters. He wrote in an article for the school news paper that Dershowitz openly supported torture and even went on to suggests that he is in part responsible for violence against critics of Israel.

Blumenthal made these comments after the senior fellow at Media Matters MJ Rosenberg was thrown into the spot light for using the expression Israel firster as an description for lawmakers in the US and other countries who voice their unwavering support for Israel. This means that these persons put their complete backing behind isreal first and America second.

The expression is mainly used by anti Israel Bloggers and it was widly condemned as being defamatory by the Center for American Progress, The Defamation League and Simon Wiseenthal Center. The Daily Caller on Monday reported that a representative of Centers for American progress is sent to have regular meeting with Media Matters as well as the White House Media Matters was asked to stop the usage of the expression after the criticisms had started however they did not.
