ESPN broadcaster Bob Griese suspended for one week due to a racist comment he made about NASCAR Colombian driver Juan Pablo Montoya during the Minnesota-Ohio State game on Saturday (October 24).
The top five drivers in NASCAR’s points race were being discussed when ESPN analyst Chris Spielman asked, “Where was Montoya?” to which Bob Griese quickly responded, “Out having a taco.”
ESPN’s rep claims that Bob “understands the comment was inappropriate” and he has already apologized for the racist remark. Watch Bob Griese suspended for racist remark video below.
