Bishop Eddie Long Live - New Birth Bishop Eddie Long has fired back at his accusers, saying that they are lying about his sexual misconduct and told his church members that he would be fighting the charges “very vigorously.” Four different men have stepped forward accusing Bishop Eddie Long had taken them on international trips with him, showering them with gifts while trying to persuade them to take part in a sexual relationship with him. The men also said in their suits that he used his power within the church to make them feel uncomfortable during the process.

Representatives for Bishop Eddie Long vehemently denied the allegations as soon as the news came out and made its way online, saying that they were “disappointed” that the young men had chosen to take the route that they did. Long made it very clear during his return to his church on Sunday, that he was innocent, and that he was going to fight as hard as he could for his good name.

In a statement, Bishop Eddie Long said, “I am anxious to respond directly to these false allegations and I will do so.” He also went on to say that he had been advised to utilize patience during the process, but assured his fellow church members that he would fight against the suit and would not settle.
