Just today, news have sprouted out on the net where people are receiving emails from the hit reality tv show Beauty and the Geek. It turns out that the e-mail contains a Malware Virus that can infect your computer instantly. Numerous incidents of people getting infected with the Zero Day Virus were already reported due to this massive attack.
Now if you received an e-mail from Beauty and the Geek telling you that they are looking for contestants and instructing you to open a file, please do not do so. The e-mail may contain a file named flyers.zip containing a malware called Zbot Trojan.
It is very dangerous nowadays to open emails from people that you do not personally know. In order to prevent getting infected from these types of e-mails, make sure that you have a good anti-virus installed in your workstation and in addition, you have to update the virus patterns regularly. And if you received an unsolicited e-mail, please do not click any of its links. Below is the message from the said e-mail that is spreading on the internet today.
