The slain boxing champ’s wife Amanda Rodrigues Gatti has been arrested by Brazilian police in connection with the murder of her husband Arturo Gatti.

Arturo Gatti was in an apartment Porto de Galinhas, Brazil celebrating his second honeymoon with Amanda Rodrigues Gatti, 23, and their child. But yesterday on news, Gatti was found dead shortly after 6 am. He was found dead without a gun shot or stab wound, but with blood on his neck and back of his head as he laid in his underwear– immediately investigators suspected foul play.

Brazilian police found a bloody purse strap in the hotel room at the Porto de Galinhas resort in which they were staying and where Gatti’s blood stained body was found. Reports are suggesting that Gatti was strangled with said purse strap and had injuries to his head.

Sunday morning Brazilian police confirm they have Arturo’s wife Amanda Rodrigues Gatti in reported custody. They claim Amanda gave contradicting testimony when questioned by police, why she was not aware that her husband was already dead in the hotel room they shared for over 10 hours.

Eyewitness reports saw the two fighting Friday, and Arturo Gatti returned to their hotel room allegedly drunk. Witnesses have told authorities that the couple were jealous of each other and Arturo Gatti had complained of Amanda’s attire while in Brazil.

According to Acelino Freitas, a close friend of Gatti, he told Brazilian reporters, “he knew Gatti and his wife were having some sort of problem and were about to separate.”

Wait a minute! The first photo I saw of her arrest, she was about 100 lbs and in this photo she’s more like 200 lbs! I know this can not be the same girl! Besides, And Arturo would never be married to an unfit girl.
