After his successful concert last year, electro-pop singer Adam Young of Owl City will return in Manila for a one-night concert, “Owl City Live in Manila” on October 26 and will be held at the NBC Tent, Bonifacio Global City as part of the “All Things Bright and Beautiful Tour.”
The 24-year-old singer from Minnesota kicked-off his tour last June in North America and has just started the Asian leg this October. According to his interview posted by Music management International, its Manila concert producer :
“I’m very excited to visit again the Philippines this fall. We’ll see you real soon.”
His second Manila concert supports Owl City’s latest album, which features the singles “Alligator Sky” and “Deer in the Headlights.”
Owl City shot to international fame with the 2009 hit album “Ocean Eyes” and the carrier single “Fireflies,” which was written in the basement of his home.
The song went number one in 24 countries including the U.S. and has been downloaded more than four million times. In total, Owl City has sold almost 12 million tracks worldwide and toured with Maroon 5 and John Mayer.
On the new album, “All Things Bright and Beautiful” Adam had a vision of a dreamland and intended to make his listeners feel like they’re stepping into another world.
“This time around, I was influenced by very specific things and was able to draw upon what I’d been through, so that got poured into the lyrics and the moods of the songs,” Adam said in an interview.
“Owl City Live in Manila” is produced by Music Management International. Tickets are available at all SM Ticketnet outlets.
