very disappointed in the AmA

One word for Adam Lambart sick sick sick…nasty…I’m sorry!!! Give me the remote!!!

This was the most disgusting display of “entertainment” and degrating that I have ever seen. I can not believe that the directors of the AMA awards actually allowed such a display. What is the world coming to!?

he sais he loves to shock people and he did.
i thourght it was funny and entertaining and hes really talented but then again im british not american so i think that makes me biologically more open minded?

Adam is doing the exact same thing as Madonna did in the past. What she did for women’s sexual freedom, he’s doing for gay men.

Does it offend some people? Yes. Madonna did it too. And after her, women have been doing it for years.

I think it’s good that Adam is offending, shocking and breaking taboos, because it was about time a gay man started doing it. And the only way to do it is by crossing the line.

Not that its impossible to do it quietly, but what he’s doing is also a great way to make an impression.

And as Madonna, I don’t think he’s sorry. He shouldn’t be.

I’m disappointed with Adams first single, it doesnt show off his amazing talent, and his performance was a little to ‘in your face’

What a great award show with amazing performances…
Until Adam Lambert took the stage. It has nothing to do with him being gay… but it was bad music, really bad singing, and a truly disgusting performance.
And to close the show??? Not a lot of applause from the stars that were there. And a lot more of us looking at our TV and wondering ‘What the heck?!’.

Who is this guy and who does he think he is? Pay a few dues, quit your screaming, and please tone down your ‘in your face’ presentation. The guy sang some good stuff on AI, but when he screams… see ya!!

I personally voted for Adam Lambert when he was on American Idol and I wanted him to win. And if anyone says that they didn’t know he was gay, then they are blind! This has nothing to do with whether or not he likes woman or men. It is about his performance which portrays a lack of respect for humans has individuals. If he wanted to show his attraction to men then he should of had all male dancers groping him or something. But he was just grabbing and throwing people away as if they were disposable. And that was sick. He does like to shock people but I would be surprised if he makes any headway in the industry on this note. And to compare him to Madonna is ludicrous!

I didn’t like the song and what he did didn’t have anything to do with being gay just poor taste and he fell what saved him was that J Lo fell too and she’s more famous so they made a bigger deal about it. Adam your talented you don’t need to do all that degrading stuff your talent can stand on it’s own. It looked like you were trying to hard. Very disappointed.

ok .. .by the time adam lambert got up i had started to fall asleep and when i turned to see what i had missed ryan was talking. . .i thought the AMA was awesome this year alot of the DIVAS came out to sing and i loved it, its sad they closed it with such class less piece of crap!!!!
so disappointed glad i was sleeping during that part of the show. . all i have to say after seeing that was WTF!!!!

There’s a reason why Adam didn’t win American Idol. He’s not fit for the american market. People are too hypocritical. That’s why the best artists always become more sucessful in Europe, South America and Australia before people ever hear of them in the US.

Thank God real artists ignore that bullshit. Elvis shook his ass, America was shocked. Madonna kissed women and spoke about sex, America was offended. Now Adam put a man’s face on his crotch and here comes fake moralism once again.

What ever happened to class. I had to turn off AMA because of all the bleeping of a songS due to it being vulgar.
Adam Lambert’s sexual preferences should not be a show AMA. Aren’t there any restrictions anymore.

AMA should be fined for televising such vulgarity! Especially when it is on prime time and children are watching. What are they doing to society!

Honestly guys, I personally find his performance a bit vulgar. As other said, it was aired on prime time and lots of minors may have watched it. The theme or the song itself is a bit disturbing.

i thought it was absolutly gross, you need to be singing instead of promoting your sexuallity!

Absolutely disgusting. If he wants to be that way, so be it, but not on a family television award show. If you wanna pay 150 bucks to see him grind on a dude’s face at one of his concerts, go for it! But don’t have us watch it on an award show.

Adam is an incredible talent and I adore his voice ……….nevertheless, I’m pretty sad today as I believe his act was simply vulgar.

I’m exceedingly disppointed in Adam ( and mad at AMA for allowing it). I didn’t get any warning and I certainly didn’t CHOOSE to view this type of crap ..it was simply thrust upon me (and I’m British and pretty open-minded.!!) and I was left confused and reeling aferwards!!

It was all just horrible; an ugly mess that was based on aggressive, gratuitous, S and M. I was cringing for Adam all the way..and especially at the end when he received very little applause from his peers. Such a shame as this year was an incredible AMA..until the last act.

i thought his performance was pretty cool, the choreography kinda all went in sync, and as far as the him kissing a guy, well, i remember when madonna kissed brittany spears on one award show. i think adam was one of the best singers ever! he was so much better than whatever that guys name is who won. funny i cant remember his name but i can remember adams! and look who is getting farther, adam is on an awards show, has a song for the movie 2012. adam is doing awesome! let him be outrageous, i remember madonna burning crosses in a video and starting the interracial stuff which doesnt bother me either. i watched this video twice trying to see what everyone is freaking out about, its really not that big of a deal. and look what adam is doing, getting attention! just like madonna did! he is making his name for himself! so let him be outrageous! i love adam! im a singer myself with karaoke contests and man i wish i had half of the guts he did! (though i do actually have a drunk video of me kissing one of my friends that is a girl! but than im open minded and liberal and like to have fun! GO ADAM! YOU KICK ASS!

his performance is awesome!he just did something many female artists had done many times before .he just keep true to himself and everybody.that’s very precious and he is a such tanlented guy.

I wasn’t SHOCKED… I was DISAPPOINTED.. I’ll preface this by saying I am a professional musician.. and vocalist and have supported a family and put my sons through college doing it.

Someone with that much talent and popularity could have found a better vehicle for himself. The song had little content.. take away the theatrics and the performance was mediocre at best.

I’ll still remain supportive of Adam but he’d dropped several rungs on the ladder. He’s not doing his cause or himself a service.

A voice like his is a gift I hope he learns to make the best use of it. You may drive the worlds fastest car, but if you crash it into a wall what good is it.

Adam lambert is simply one of the best singers that american idol has had come to the show.. you knew as soon as he started performing,he wasnt gonna be one of those laidback singers that dont dance on stage, he definitely proved that to us at the AMA’s… why would he do that as his first real performance..claps to you adam! I have been watching the AMA awards for years with my kids. I am very disappointed and disgusted that Adam thought he had the right to expose my children to this type of behavior. I have many gay friends who have a great deal of respect for everyone. I think he should apoligize and realize this is a show families watch together. Does he really think he has the skills and commitment to succeed in the music industry. I feel very sad for Adam because at one time I thought he had potential, but to see him change this quickly into a person that does not care how he portrays himself is very say.

Adam ROCKED. I am more shocked and disgusted with all the closed minded and hateful people that are making such rude comments about his performance. It was awsome and he can sing. It really makes me mad that he is being sensored now and bombarded why hate letters about it. Take it for what it was, a PERFOMANCE.

Not that the vulgarity is so bad, just looked like he was trying too hard to shock. The song and singing was horrific however.

we where horrified by adams peformance. He has so much talent and to go to that extreme low is sad. Don’t even try to compare him to Madonna and Brittany. He can say what ever he wants but that was not a good way to promote himself to the public. I think it was a performance fitted with the lyrics. People need to just chill out and take it as it is; entertainment. And I’m an open minded American who can see it as it is and not sensationalize it into something else…s

Come on people. If he’d pretended to kill people no one would be making a fuss at all. What happened to ‘make love not war’? The guy has a reputation for being a bit flamboyant, if that’s not your thing go make a sandwich when he’s on the screen and don’t be shocked that he’s doing stuff that’s a bit over the top. Okay, it’s not really that bad… perhaps just slihgtly overdone with all the sexual stuff but I don’t really think his perforamnce deserved such harsh comments. The people who are disappointed, don’t be. Adam’s the type to be crazy and unusual, it really doesn’t surprise me that he would put up a performance like this. I found it okay, I guess and I will still support Adam!

Has anyone actually listened to the lyrics? The display that everyone thinks is so disgusting was an artistic expression of the song. Shakira humping the speaker was far more disgusting than anything Adam did.

Adam is a great singer and performer, however I believe there are much better ways to fight for gay acceptance. If it was a man and a woman onstage doing these things, people would still be offended. I am accepting of homosexuality and I was still very shocked by this footage. Who knows whether young children saw it or how many people it upset. Its not worth it, its innappropriate and very unneccessary. How about being an ambassador for freedom of sexuality by being positive, well-spoken, a good role-model and and speaking out for rights and aceptance. Just because you feel you are unnaccpeted, does not give you the right to be rude and offensive.

I could not agree more with comment 39. Adam is very talented and has a great voice which is a gift. Adam should find a different way to channel all of that energy. I think he can achieve the same intensity that he wants without offending other people. Well, this is my opinion and I stand out for it. Come on guys, share your thoughts about this.

I am more shocked by his out of tune shouts at the end and by the mediocrity of the song to be honest. I don’t think the performance was so shocking and sexual. come on, we are in the third millennium and Prince had dancers simulating oral sex on him in the 80s. The fact that he uses a male dancer is irrelevant nowadays! we watch movies much more charged with sex every day. So i am not really shocked by the sex, but without all the gimmicks I would be very disappointed by the vocal performance.

Maybe for some people his performance will be acceptable but you can’t deny the fact that others specifically those who are conservative will get offended by this. He would have been better off if he had not offended anyone by performing a much wholesome song like the song of Robbie Williams entitled Better Man… lol…

Adam’s performance was awesome. People need to be more open minded. It was new and fresh totally unexcpected and thats what make a great performance. He is great.

It really wasn’t that bad, everyone needs to chill about this. Really, it is just a television show and it is time to get over it. I am not going to judge him on this, so what if he’s gay, fine with me! So what if he’s straight, fine with me! So, what if he’s bisexual, fine with me! Lay off.

Some of the viewers got offended because of some scenes which are not suitable to minors. I think his performance would be ok with older people but since it was aired during prime time, there were minors who might have watched those scenes.

adam lambert is god!!!!! he is a genius…amazing….sexy…his performance was plain and simple entertainment at its best!!!he shocked and wanted to be talked about he knew exactly what he was doing and did an awesome job too…..vocals amazing…hair amazing….hell even the freakin crotch in the face was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
