A Thriller tribute for Michael Jackson- Years ago, some 1,400 plus inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center or CPDRC, Cebu Philippines performed a routine, a Thriller tribute for Michael Jackson.
Saturday afternoon, 1,400 Cebu inmates will pay their last respects to the late Michael Jackson with a prayer before performing a routine of Jackson’s hit song “Thriller”— Cebu inmates gained worldwide attention for an impressive “Thriller” performance on YouTube, paying their last respects to their Idol, King of Pop Michael Jackson.
Ever since the “dancing inmates” were reported by international news organizations, tourists have been drawn to the CPDRC. Visitors have even gained a more optimistic perspective of Philippine prisoners, and if it weren’t for “Thriller” the Cebu inmates wouldn’t have global recognition.
The CPDRC inmates perform every last Saturday of the month to almost 600 visitors for free. On June 27, they will stage a repeat, a Thriller tribute for Michael Jackson, a dance routine that made them famous.
The video has since generated more than 23 million views after it was posted in 2007 and has even been hailed by TIME Magazine as one of the best viral videos of that year.
CPDRC inmates popularity might gain another momentum as shocked fans continue to look online for anything that would remind them of Michael Jackson.

its better than doing bad things… at least they’ve tried to entertain us…

This a good approach rather than get bored. If you do the crime you pay the time in a little of fun that is fine.It will boost morale and keeps you being busy rather than thinking negatively and might end up of busting other inmates
