There’s a popular search called “a snack so good that people even eat the wrapper.” There is really “a snack that is so good that people can even eat the wrapper.” ;-)

Turrones de Casuy were produced in Sta.Rita, Pampanga, Philippines. It is a bar of marzipan made with cashew nuts, and wrapped in white wafer.

Turrones de Casuy is one snack that is so good that people can even eat the wrapper, and the wrapper… it taste like Ostia!

Since my husband is a Kapampangan, we used to buy them in cans of 50’s as a pasalubong whenever we visit his Ima at Sta.Rita. Sometimes, Ima will buy for the kids as a pasalubong if she will visit Manila.

We always enjoyed our share of this delicious peanut/honey Turrones! And of course, sometimes, I try to hide some of it from my kids because I wanted them all to myself hehehe… :D I always start eating them by munching both ends of the turrones because I just love the “crispness” of the folded wafer. The wafer reminds me of the “white rabbit candy” I used to eat when I was small :D

Turrones de Casuy is really a snack so good that u can even eat the wrapper. :-)

I definitely agree. This delicacy is really really yummy. It’s so good that you wouldn’t mind eating the wrapper. But of course, the wrapper is edible ;)
